A Day on the ONYX

A Rainy Day - Just Perfect for Bowling!

It had been 3 years since the last G3 bowling event so without question is was time for another afternoon in the bolwing alley. All but a few of the "front of the house" team made it out to share in the good times. After two games, lots of laughs and some sore thumbs, we headed home with a new appreciation for the sport of bowling.

And they're off...

Ok, not quite yet.  But with legs freshly shaven, chains lubed and lycra donned, riders in this year's edition of the BC Bike Race are prepping themselves for the looming days of saddle sores, leg cramps, long climbs and seemingly endless single-track descents.

Car Free City

In what can only be described as a "totally awesome" move, Vancouver city council recently declared certain neighbourhoods as Car Free zones on Sundays through the summer months.

Spending a rare weekend in the city, G3 Engineer Paul Palfreyman stuck around Van-city to check out the action on Commercial drive.

Over the past 4 months, “A Team” and consumer feedback, both critical and congratulatory, has been heard. We are very happy with the way the ONYX has performed as well as the detailed level of feedback we have received. The following were standout features:

The Daily Commute

Commuting - not exactly everyone's favourite activity.  It's not just humans who endure this daily grind though.  Have a peek at this link for a riveting 'tail' (sorry, I couldn't help it) of some special canine commuters in Moscow...

Summer Singletrack

Ahh Vancouver.  Regular readers of the Houseblend will have figured out that we think Vancouver is a pretty sweet spot to call home.  While the options for skiing have been well documented, there's no shortage of fun to be had in the summer too.  Given the totally AWESOME weather we have been having the last couple of weeks, things have really begun to take on that summer feel.

Ski-Work-Beach

Yesterday, after spending the early morning skiing on the North Shore Mountains (see Summer Testing), and a busy day in the office, I decided to do the Vancouver thing and hit the beach in the evening. I met my girlfriend and we stopped in nearby West Vancouver to picnic in one of the little cove beaches that look across at downtown Vancouver. Afterwards we headed over to Lighthouse Park for a short hike. Great minds must think alike as down at the climbing spot in the park I found G3’s Business Systems Manager, Justin, climbing with some friends:
